Welcome in the Czech Republic

From the geographical point of view the Czech Republic is situated in the heart of Europe and has an area of 78 866 sq. km.Latitude 49 - 51 degrees N and longtitude 12-19 degrees E. Neighbouring states are Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Poland. The Czech Republic is surrounded by mountains and hills.The highest mauntain in the Czech Republic is Snezka which is situated in the Giant Mauntains.The three main rivers is called Vltava, Labe and Morava. If you go through the country you can see the landscape contrast, which is shown by many highlands and lowlands, several types of forests and so on.

From the political point of view we enjoy living in the democratic country. After the Velvet revolution (1989), when the Comunist government was thrown down we have four political parties - ODS (Civic democratic party) KDU CSL (Christian democratic party) CSSD (Czech democratic party) and Comunist party.The capital city is Prague. VP wholesale is a small family business, which was created after the revolutionary changes in fall 1991. The firms owner is Mrs. Zdenka Koppova, who has worked supplying shops with beekeeping articles since 1980. Now the firm supply over 100 retails in the Czech Republic and Slovakia cooperate with foreign partners all over the world.
In 1995 the firm participated as the first Czech business at the Apimondia beekeeping fair in Lausanne where it promoted its products. It was first step to expanding its business outside of the Czech Republic. Two years later the firm presented itself at the special world fair in Antwerp and in 2003 took part at APIEXPO exhibition with great success at Lubljan in the Slovenia, which was held as a 100th anniversary of Apimondia foundation.
Because of the competitive Czech products and the publicity, interest in their products increased. Following this success, the VP wholesale focused on improving the quality of products, with increased quality assurance and by careful monitoring of production. The firm continued to enrich the home trade, whilst simultaneously supplying the foreign marketplace with new products.
Nowadays, it exports beekeeping products to over 10 countries. It also deals with import of some foreign products to the home market.
